This is the kind of story that should be making headlines and getting people's attention, instead we get celebrity divorces and the sexuality of fuckin' Wonder Woman.
Joel Sartore says that people can´t care about what they don´t know. I completely agree; I recently spent two years teaching an Ecology class and I always said the same to my students. So to all of you who share my deep love and respect for wildlife and nature, please, please, don´t keep it to yourselves; find the way to spread that sense of wonder. If you have children, don´t let them forget about the natural world; too many kids are living in a virtual world these days. Teach them about life in all its forms, and how every creature has its place. Even the smallest actions- such as not squashing that bug- can potentially make a big difference. Use your art, your words and your example to spread this love and respect. I truly believe the preservation of nature is the most important cause of all, and there aren´t enough of us trying to help.

I've also been trying to photograph the bats that come out at dusk and circle above my house but they're so fast and erratic!
The lucky streak of sightings continues!
After the osprey, golden eagle, dancing kite and short-tailed hawk, here's a zone-tailed hawk just above my street, eating its prey on the wing! How cool is that? :D And what will the next raptor sighting be? :B
