Therizinosaurus es uno de los teropodos mas grandes, y tambien uno de los dinosaurios mas inconfundibles. Se distingue principalmente por sus gigantescas garras de mas de un metro de longitud, las cuales son armas mortales que pueden causar graves heridas a sus enemigos. Al igual que el Allosaurus, tienen un factor de curacion muy avanzado.
Los Therizinosaurus son animales tranquilos y de movimientos lentos; usualmente toleran a otros herbivoros, y cuando estan molestos, intentan intimidar con rugidos y extendiendo los brazos y las garras. Su gran tamaño y temible aspecto le aseguran un buen sitio en los abrevaderos, y se le ha visto ahuyentando a otros herbivoros de sus sitios de alimentacion favoritos.
Machos y hembras son similares. Se alimentan de hojas, frutos y savia; a menudo usan sus garras para romper ramas y arrancar la corteza de los arboles. Se desconoce mucho sobre su organizacion social, pues se les ha visto tanto solos como en pequeños grupos.
Los Therizinosaurus ponen huevos casi esfericos y de color arenoso en algun lugar cerca del agua. Son muy protectores de sus nidos. Sus llamados son rugidos y chillidos muy potentes. Algunos archivos se refieren a este dinosaurio como "segnosaurio", ya que los cientificos de InGen no estaban muy seguros de que clase de animal era.
TRIVIA: El Therizinosaurus tiene una fuerza colosal en sus brazos y puede mover sus garras con precision asombrosa. En Jurassic Park, tres personas fueron gravemente heridas por estos dinosaurios, dos de las cuales murieron. Aun asi, es facil evitar un ataque, pues los Therizinosaurus tienen posturas de intimidacion muy conspicuas que ponen sobre aviso a los enemigos, y si uno se aleja a tiempo, es poco probable que el animal ataque.

Therizinosaurus is one of the largest theropods and also one of the most unmistakable dinosaurs. It is easily recognized by its enormous claws, over one meter in length each, which are lethal weapons that can cause severe injury to its enemies. Just like Allosaurus, they have a very advanced healing factor. Therizinosaurus are peaceful and slow moving animals; they usually tolerate well other herbivores and when they are angry, they try to intimidate with roars and stretching their arms and claws. Their large size and fearsome looks usually gives them the best places in waterholes and they have been seen scaring other herbivores away from their favorite feeding zones.
Males and females look alike. They feed on leaves, fruits and sap; they often use their claws to break branches and strip the bark off trees. Their social organization is mostly unknown, for they have been seen both alone and in small groups.
Therizinosaurus lay almost spherical, sand colored eggs in some place near water. They are very protective with their nests. Their calls are roars and loud shrieks. Some files refer to this animal as "segnosaur", since th InGen scientists didn´t know for sure what kind of creature it was.
TRIVIA: Therizinosaurus has inmensely strong arms and can use its claws with incredible precision. In Jurassic Park, three people were severely injured by these dinosaurs, and two of them died. Even so, it is easy to avoid an attack, for Therizinosaurus has very conspicuous intimidation postures and if you walk away on time, it is highly unlikely to be attacked by the animal.
