Saltillomimus by HodariNundu Saltillomimus by HodariNundu

A "Saltillomimus" escapes from a hungry tyrannosaur in what will one day become northern Mexico!
"Saltillomimus" is an ornithomimid that seems to share several traits in common with Asian, rather than North American relatives.
Its most remarkable trait is a very robust tigh bone, as well as large splayed toes on its feet, which may have been an adaptation to walk on muddy ground. Because it lived in a swampy region, this makes sense and probably allowed "Saltillomimus" to flee from its enemies at high speed despite the irregular terrain (hence its specific name, "rapidus").
This dino has yet to be properly described, and its name may change in the future.

This is a quick sketch cuz I had no time for more! D: First Saltillomimus in DA

I think he's stopped just in time and is like "damn this stuff, can´t go any further!!", so no, he's just very frustrated. :B

Is that Tyrannosaurus in the background hunting the ornithomimid or just a generic Tyrannosaur? It looks like T-Rex to me based off the size and skull shape. Also, would you mind me basing a drawing I'm doing off the pose of the Tyrannosaur you have here?
Amazing work anyways! :D

Sure, no probs :>

The tyrannosaur is just generic, I agree it looks most like your classic T-Rex but apparently "Saltillomimus" lived earlier, so...
