As requested by who correctly guessed the identity of the mystery dino Eretiscus (I hope he likes it) In keeping with his more primate-like design: [link] I decided to give it big mandrill-like canines instead of the shark-like rows of teeth of the mythical manticore. It's kinda interesting having both animals in the same pic because the Manticore was probably inspired by tiger sightings, whereas the sabertooth is an actual tiger relative and often called a "tiger" itself :>
It's a creature of persian mythology that is described as a monster with a lion's body,a poisonous tail and a human's head. You can read more 'bout it here:[link]
Neither, unless they're both desperate to fight in the first place. Animals usually don't fight extensively because even the winner may get too injured to survive. One swipe of paw, one swish of tail, a few more snarls, and then they'll both back down.
Cool interpretation of one of my favorite mythological monsters! Some years ago i tried to write a fantasy tale with a manticore as the main monster but sadly i didn't elaborated it more...
hmm
but nice job any way!!
