El Metriacanthosaurus estaba incluido en la lista original de InGen, y fue uno de los primeros dinosaurios trasladados desde Isla Sorna hasta Isla Nublar. Carnívoro esquivo y raras veces visto, este animal suele vivir en zonas de vegetacion espesa. Aunque vive en grupos de tres o cuatro individuos, no es un cazador social; cada Metriacanthosaurus caza por su cuenta, y comparte su presa de buena gana con sus compañeros cuando estos se unen al banquete. Se sabe que suele enterrar los restos de su presa, o esconderlos bajo el agua, para regresar a terminarlos mas tarde.
El Metriacanthosaurus es un depredador letal y puede derribar a animales mucho mas grandes que el mismo. A pesar de su gran tamaño, es perfectamente capaz de saltar. El Metriacanthosaurus macho se distingue facilmente de las hembras porque durante la epoca de apareamiento desarrolla una coloración mucho mas vistosa. Durante esta epoca el macho no caza, pero se vuelve mucho mas agresivo y ataca a cualquier intruso con ferocidad.
TRIVIA: Por alguna extraña razon, el Metriacanthosaurus era inmune a todos los tranquilizantes usados por los guardabosques de Jurassic Park; por ello, los cuidadores tenian que mantenerlos a raya con la ayuda de mangueras de alta presión.

Metriacanthosaurus was included in the original InGen list, and was one of the first dinosaurs to be moved from Isla Sorna to Isla Nublar. An elusive and seldom seen carnivore, this animal usually lives in areas with thick vegetation.
Although it lives in groups of three or four members, it is not a social hunter; each Metriacanthosaurus hunts by itself, and shares its prey with the others when they join the feast. They are known to bury or hide underwater a corpse's remnants, so that they can come later and finish them.
Metriacanthosaurus is a deadly predator and can bring down animals much larger than itself. Despite its great size, it is perfectly able to leap. Male Metriacanthosaurus are easily tell apart from females during mating season, because they develop a brighter coloration. During this time of the year, the male does not hunt, but it becomes much more aggressive and will fiercely attack any intruder.
TRIVIA: For some odd reason, Metriacanthosaurus was inmune to any tranquilizer used by the Jurassic Park rangers. Because of this, its keepers had to keep it at bay using high pressure hoses.
