Dueling Dinos by HodariNundu Dueling Dinos by HodariNundu

A ceratopsian charging a Nanotyrannus in self defense, without realizing that they are both about to plunge into their watery doom! :ohnoes:
This drawing is inspired by the fantastic Dueling Dinos found in Montana, supossedly a Nanotyrannus and an unknown chasmosaurine, which was said to be hornless at first (with bumps and protuberances similar to a warthog) but later I heard that it did have horns. Since I'm not sure, I just covered its face with the tyrannosaur's body :D

Got any knew updates about this? Does this also mean that Nanotyrannus is its own thing (species?) now?
I also heard that this could possibly be the largest ceretopsian ever, is this true?
And hey, great work all around as well!

Last I heard these guys were being auctioned but they failed to sell (fortunately?). I haven´t heard anything else since, sadly.

Thanks btw!

I was going to make a "THIS IS SPARTA!" joke, but someone already did. :(
Instead, I'll just say this.
I hope the ceratopsian is hornless, because it would be kick ass to see you illustrate! :D

It is supossed to be a new species, but I don´t think it has been named or formally described yet. So for now, it's just a "chasmosaurine X"

It's gonna take a lot more evidence to change my opinion on Nanotyrannus whether it's a juvenile T-rex or not.

I was beginning to wonder if you'd ever illustrate "Montana's Dueling Dinosaurs". :D

Up until now, I've only been hearing that the ceratopsian was a new species, so the knobbly warthog-esque face is a new theory to me; it's a pretty interesting possibility, horns or no horns.

Well, from the descriptions I've read of it in the past Nanotyannus sounds more like an Albertosaurine than a Tyrannosaurine (like Tyrannosaurus). Also, does the ceratopsian have a scientific name?
