Chilantaisaurus by HodariNundu Chilantaisaurus by HodariNundu

As requested by :iconkingedmarka:, I actually enjoyed drawing this a lot because if Im not mistaken, its the first Chilantaisaurus I draw in ages... if not the very first!
Chilantaisaurus is a very mysterious dino of which very little is known, but apparently it had very strong arms with powerful claws; because of this it has been classified sometimes as a spinosaur relative, but today, most believe it to be a neovenatorid. It has been estimated to weigh up to 6 tons, being probably as large as T-Rex; if so, it would not only be the largest neovenatorid known (along with Siats?) but also arguably one of the most fearsome dinosaurs of all times. D:

How is it possible I never heard of this guy before? He's big and terrifying and Ieven did'nt know he existed?
Are Neovenatorids tyrannosaurids-relative? (Appalachiosaurus is thought to be a long armed Rex)
Or do they have more in common with allosaurids?

They're part of the allosauroid group apparently, so yeah, they would be related to allosaurids and carcharodontosaurids :B

Recently scientists found that Megaraptorans were Tyrannosauroidea. Megaraptorans are part of Neovenatoridae and that means one of two things: Megaraptorans arent Neovenatorids or all Neovenatorids are Tyrannosaurs. Thats why this giant is probably a Tyrannosaur.

well im just gonna go ahead and tell ya what it is

SPINOSAURUS ROBUSTUS

a head and sail like this cienciahoje.uol.com.br/banco-d… and a crest at the tip of the snout like this img.webme.com/pic/s/spinosauri… and it has 3 more crests on the head (2 above the eyes and one on the fore head) the 2 above the eyes www.digital-images.net/Images/… exept more large and pointy, the one on the fore head fc01.deviantart.net/fs70/i/201… and theres a little dewlap thing hanging from the neck i.neoseeker.com/mgv/442838/838… and it has a neck fin bucketfoot-al.tripod.com/DinoM… (except a bit larger) and it has a tail fin at the tip of the tail fc06.deviantart.net/fs70/i/201… and there are scutes on it static.ddmcdn.com/gif/alligato… first there was the neck fin then running down the neck were scutes then the scutes went over the top of the spine then are running down the tail until it got to the tail fin, then on the sides of the body were 2 row of scutes on the neck, body, and tail and the side scutes on the tail got smaller till it got to the tip

and the arms, legs, and tail like this cienciahoje.uol.com.br/banco-d… exept the tail is a bit longer abd the end isnt pointying down

(and you can come up with your own story of how it lived i don't care)

well thats my request, ill let you decide what you think
