Chilantaisaurus by HodariNundu Chilantaisaurus by HodariNundu

As requested by :iconkingedmarka:, I actually enjoyed drawing this a lot because if Im not mistaken, its the first Chilantaisaurus I draw in ages... if not the very first!
Chilantaisaurus is a very mysterious dino of which very little is known, but apparently it had very strong arms with powerful claws; because of this it has been classified sometimes as a spinosaur relative, but today, most believe it to be a neovenatorid. It has been estimated to weigh up to 6 tons, being probably as large as T-Rex; if so, it would not only be the largest neovenatorid known (along with Siats?) but also arguably one of the most fearsome dinosaurs of all times. How is it possible I never heard of this guy before? He's big and terrifying and Ieven did'nt know he existed?
Are Neovenatorids tyrannosaurids-relative? (Appalachiosaurus is thought to be a long armed Rex)
Or do they have more in common with allosaurids?

They're part of the allosauroid group apparently, so yeah, they would be related to allosaurids and carcharodontosaurids :B

Recently scientists found that Megaraptorans were Tyrannosauroidea. Megaraptorans are part of Neovenatoridae and that means one of two things: Megaraptorans arent Neovenatorids or all Neovenatorids are Tyrannosaurs. Thats why this giant is probably a Tyrannosaur.
