Winter in Cretaceous Australia, not far away from the South Pole; two Muttaburrasaurus devour the carcass of an Australovenator (Australian "Megaraptor"), dead from natural causes after a long life of hunting, well, Muttaburrasaurs.
Fascinating. While I am fairly sure hadrosaurs were NOT predators or built to do that at all, I'd be surprised if their digestive systems could process flesh. BUT since such things are not preservable as fossils, we'd never know for certain!
I think that most "herbivorous" dinosaurs were really omnivorous to an extent because when you look at today's birds, only a very small handful are truly herbivorous with most birds eating either plant or animal matter when ever it is available.
