A Royal Fright by HodariNundu A Royal Fright by HodariNundu

Horrified at the sight of a monstrous creature he has never seen before, the king of dinosaurs does what he hasn´t done since he was a baby- run away in panic.
This is inspired by the discovery of 70 million year old therizinosaur tracks in Alaska which made me think these critters may have traveled further south and perhaps encounter T-Rex on the way. :> Who knows...

This would be a ridiculously huge Therizinosaur! Even Therizinosaurus wasn't THAT big compared to a Rex. That would be an awesome find! Love the coloring on the Rex, btw!

Nothronychus was a therizinosaur that already lived in the new world 90 million years ago,i believe the therizinosaur tracks from 70 million years ago were in fact of a native species rather than a recent immigrant. The ide of them suriving in America up to 65 million years is interesting and the creature you draw looks enourmeous, like its more than 20 feet tall compared to the t rex with claws over 7 feet long.

Well, there was Nothronychus several million years before. Maybe it evolved into a North American variant of Therizinosaurus.

Great work! So do you think these Alaskan tracks were really from Therizinosaurus itself or more from a creature the size of Nothronychus:?

Oh, I don´t know about the Alaskan tracks- I'm just assuming that if some therizinosaurs made it to North America at the end of the Cretaceous, why not other, bigger ones like Therizinosaurus itself or similar. Just speculation.

This is awesome. If that actually could happen, no doubt about it would T-rex steer clear of a Therizi
