A Mammoth's Funeral

Description

The promise of an abundant meal pushes the great carnivores or prehistoric Siberia to face each other during a harsh winter. :B This doodle is inspired by a fossil site called Geographical Society Cave, in Russia, where the remains of tigers, lions, leopards (maybe), lynxes, hyenas, bears and wolves have been found. Although there's no evidence that they all lived at the exact same time, it is not unlikely that all these species lived closely to one another at some point of the Pleistocene, although some (tiger, leopard, lynx) may have favoured thick forest whereas others (hyena, lion) would've frequented plains. Still, a dead mammoth near the forest limit would be too much meat to waste... :B Definitely not a safe place to go for a walk...

I love how you mixed extant animals and extinct animals in this excellent sketch. They would've coexisted with one another in prehistoric times.
